Tintex High-Temperature Fabric Dye Powder

Tintex High Temperature Fabric Dyes are water soluble dyes which deliver a wide range of dyeing applications from man-made fibres such as nylon to more natural products such as wool. They work best on viscose rayon, linen rayon and their corresponding blends but can be used for wool, silk and nylon using white vinegar as a fixative. Application can also extend to wood, tassels, buttons, and zips of the correct fabrication. These dyes come in powdered form and require dissolving before use. Cohesion is mediated via heat and hence the suitability of this dye will be dependent on the article to be dyed. For paler colours or tinting, hot water is sufficient but darker richer colours will require the dyeing materials to be boiled in order to achieve a sufficient fix. Tintex high temperature dyes may also be applied via a machine wash provided that the hottest, longest duration wash cycle is set. Further instructions are available at this link. These are permanent dyes and remain fast in wash/light. They can also be mixed in combination to create an even broader horizon of colours. Please note that the swatches provided are only a guide and that colours may vary according to materials/temperatures/dye concentrations/length of fabric exposure/computer monitors.
