Powertex bister powder can be mixed with water and sprayed onto a Powertex coated surface to create a unique cracked patina effect. Different colours can be layered if desired to create a wide range of effects.

Directions for use:Take an empty (approx 100ml) spray bottle and fill with water. Add a teaspoon of bister powder and shake well. Apply a small amount of Powertex to stretched canvas or artwork, creating areas of different thicknesses. Spray bister onto artwork, layering with different colours if desired. To intensify the colour, add a few granules of bister onto the piece and spread well with a brush. Dry with a hair dryer, and cracks will form. Once dry, excess bister may be removed with a damp sponge.Paintings with bister are not waterproof until finished with a varnish such as Powertex Easy Varnish.
