Spandex Nylon Lycra is commonly used in dance, calisthenics and gymnastics costumes as well as swimsuits and undergarments due to its elasticity and lightweight composition. A 4-way stretch (Also known as 2-way stretch in some countries) indicates the ability to stretch both horizontally and vertically. This fabric has a gorgeous faux patent PVC shiny front giving it a clean look, with a spandex base and backing allowing flexibility. This material is ideal for costume and festival creations.

Please note this fabric is not suitable for tight fitting garments. To avoid damage to the top layer of the fabric, special care needs to be taken when constructing garments from this fabric. We recommend finishing seams with a cotton tape to avoid excess strain, and help prevent separation of the layers. We also recommend to make the size up to allow for movement without damaging the fabric. Please keep in mind using the fabric in high abrasion/sweat areas may result in the top layer peeling away.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This material should only be washed by hand in lukewarm water and dried using air without excessive sun exposure.
