Stainless Steel Spring wire, not unlike plastic wire, retains its curvature unless it is physically forced beyond a certain limit; making it an ideal material for hat brims and other projects which require an even, somewhat resistant, curve. This wire has multiple options for thickness, and is sold per pre-cut 5m lengths. As this wire has been previously cut, continuous lengths beyond five metres are unavailable.

If using a ferrule to join we recommend adding either the support of some glue, wrapping the ends with cotton before inserting the ferrule or making the surface rougher with some sandpaper. These methods can help clamp the ferrule more firmly to smoother surfaces. You may find taping over the ferrule will also give a firm smoother finish.
